Fewer fights, more kids in hallways at Mack today

“It was worse here.  There were more fights,” said Mitchel.  “And fewer kids in the hallway.”

Mitchel played linebacker and wide receiver on a Mack team that won the Oakland Athletic League Silver Bowl three years in a row.  A 2008 graduate, he attends Alameda and Laney, where he studies architecture.

Inspired by his law class, he remembers a guest speaker, a female lawyer, encouraging him to achieve and work hard at whatever he sets his mind on.  Right on, his dream is to become a firefighter.
