Lupe Fiasco’s “LASERS” fizzles

by David McNeal

Lyrical genius Lupe Fiasco’s third major studio release doesn’t quite shine like it was intended. The Chicago native originally planned to release “LupE.N.D.” as his third and final record, but his contract with his label prevented him from continuing with this agenda. Since then Lasers has undergone many changes, so much so that fans were forced to wait four years for another LP from Lupe. But it’s finally here! The 12 track album opens up with the eletro-indie sounding “Letting Go.”
